MLK DAY 

Monday, January 16, Pick up will be on the regular schedule.

PRESident's day

Monday, February 20, Pick up will be on the regular schedule.

Good Friday

Friday, April 7, Pick up will be on the regular schedule.

Memorial Day

Monday, May 29, Monday trash will be picked upon Tuesday. Tuesday's trash will be picked up on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be on their regular schedule.

4th of July 

Tuesday, July 4, Monday trash will be picked up on regular schedule. Tuesday's trash will be picked up on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be on their regular schedule.

Labor day

Monday, September 4, Monday trash will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday's trash will be picked up on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be on their regular schedule.

Columbus Day

Monday, October 9, Pick up will be on the regular schedule.

Veteran's Day

Friday, November 10, Pick up will be on the regular schedule.

Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 23  Monday and Tuesday are normal schedule. Thursday will be picked up a day early on Wednesday, November 22rd. Friday will be normal schedule.

Christmas DAY*

Monday, December 25, Monday will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday route will be picked up on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday routes will be on regular schedule. 

New Year's DAY

Monday, January 1,  Monday route will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday route will be picked up on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday routes will be on the regular schedule.

Litter Control Program

The Sanitation Department will be instituting a new quarterly Litter Control Pick-up Program. On select Wednesdays throughout the year the department will tackle an area in town that needs services. These dates and locations are subject to change due to inclement weather and other department needs. 

Trash Pickup Schedule

 

Beginning March 30, the Town took over residential and small business trash service from Republic Services for properties within Town limits, and we are now picking up trash throughout the week.  If you have traditionally been picked up by Republic on Monday, you are not in Town limits and your pickup day will not change.  For in-town residents and small businesses, your new pickup day will be as follows:

• Monday: Historic Moncks Corner east of the railroad tracks, including

  • First Saint Johns
  • East Railroad Avenue Businesses
  • Francis Villas
  • Hidden Cove
  • Jacobs Cove
  • Limerick Woods
  • Shannonwood

• Tuesday: Historic Moncks Corner west of the railroad tracks, including
  • Azalea Court
  • Cedar Grove
  • Broughton
  • Eastside
  • Elizabeth Pointe

Solid Waste Guide

 

It is our goal to provide you with the best possible sanitation service.  We ask that you follow these guidelines to assist us in achieving that goal.

All refuse and debris must be:

• Properly containerized (No unauthorized containers will be emptied)
• DO NOT put plastic bags or household solid waste inside the brown yard debris carts.
• DO NOT over load the roll cart
• The Town will only pick up trash that is in the waste cart.  Bags and boxes beside the cart will not be picked up except at Christmas. 
• BULK ITEM PICKUP: If you have large, bulky items such as couches or grills to be picked up, please call Town Hall at 843-719-7900 before 3:00 pm on Tuesday and we will pick up the items on Wednesday.  
• If you are moving in/out and have excess trash, please call Town Hall at 843-719-7900 and arrange for pick up.  This trash will be picked up by the bulk item crew on Wednesday.
• Please have your roll carts near the road by 6:00 a.m.  All containers must be removed from the side of the road and placed behind, beside, or inside the building by 7:00 p.m. the day of pickup.

 

Holidays

 

Waste will not be collected on the following holidays:

• New Year’s Day
• Memorial Day
• 4th of July
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas

During holiday weeks pickup days may be shuffled.  Please follow us on Facebook to view any new scheduling.

 

Fees

• An initial non-refundable $80.00 fee will be charged to all waste services recipients.  This fee provides each resident one green roll cart for household solid waste and one brown roll cart for yard debris disposal only.  Household solid waste is NOT to be placed in the brown yard debris can.
• The monthly fee for a standard 90 gallon roll cart with one residential pick-up per week is $13.91.  Additional 90-gallon containers are available to residences at the cost of $13.91.  Unless you live in a newly constructed house, billing occurs annually on the County property tax bill.
• One debris container is available free of charge for residential customers.  Additional cans are available at $13.91 per can.
• For commercial customers, a 90 gallon roll cart with one pick-up per week is $19.61.  Additional containers are available at $19.61 each per month.
