Police Officer Required Documents
Performs clerical accounting and financial record keeping activities including the preparation, processing, and maintenance of the Town’s accounts payables. Investigates and resolves invoice discrepancies, maintains purchase orders, and provides additional administrative support as needed. Associate degree and three (3) years of accounts payable experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Starting salary based on experience. The Town of Moncks Corner Fire Department has openings for Firefighter 2 /EMTs. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license. Must be able to pass department physical examination, firefighter physical ability assessment and background check as required by SC 40-80-20. Must be able to wear and use PPE to include SCBA.
These are Full time positions, 24/48 hour shift work. Job duties: Routine station duties, Fire, Rescue & EMS response.
Grade N-106 Pay range depending on experience and certifications $37,870 – $58,699. IFSAC Firefighter 2 or Pro Board equivalent & NREMT certifications preferred and qualify for SC DHEC licensure. Position hours: Full time position.
Under regular supervision, performs general uniform patrol, investigative, or other police duties as assigned and enforces all state laws and town ordinances. Required to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. Certified applicants must be certified by the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and are required to maintain training and certification requirements. Uncertified applicants with related experience may be considered.
Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education or specialized advanced training in criminal justice
- Must have completed the SC Criminal Justice Academy Training for a certified police officer or for an uncertified officer must complete the SC Criminal Justice Academy Training by the end of the assigned probationary period.
- Valid S.C. driver’s license in good standing, must pass all required tests and must be able to operate standard issue vehicles.
- Personal computer experience preferred.
- Completed degree (s) beneficial to position may be partially considered as work experience
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Must be able to maintain required level of proficiency in the use of firearms.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and polygraph examination.
Police Officer Uncertified Grade: N-106

Position hours: Full time position.
Performs a wide variety of law enforcement activities specifically related to the school environment during the school year. Tasks are primarily service oriented and include working with and mentoring students, disseminating information, arbitrating disputes, and providing assistance through referrals, property protection, crime prevention, investigative, and other public safety services. Duties will also include regular police duties outside of the school environment when and where needed. Training and certification requirements must be maintained.
